Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 114) - Return of the CBM Defenders vs. Double Venom

Woo! An episode up on a Wednesday. So sometimes you find yourself with free time after work that doesn’t have to include schoolwork and what do you do? Go see a comic book movie you think will be bad with a friend and then talk all about it. Bonus: It meant the return of the CBM Defenders after a 30 episode hiatus. Blue and I chat all about (and also spoil the heck out of) two “superhero” movies, quotes because this edition is all Venom. For the newest movie still in theaters, we did do a non-spoiler review before chatting about all the details. You may find these films to be less than good but we’re always prepared to shine our bright lanterny light all over them while talking the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here’s the two films we defend:

Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Venom (2018)

Congrats on completing Level 114 of the podcast and a big thanks to Blue (@bluewolfd) for yet another fun episode. We may not be Venom at the end of it but WE ARE AWKWARD (said in my best gruff Tom Hardy voice). Feel free to drop a comment here or contact me on Twitter and/or Instagram (@wookieeriot). I'd love to hear from you. Also subscribe to the feed on Apple Podcasts, GooglePlay, Stitcher, tunein.com, PlayerFM or Podcast Addict (or whatever app you use) if you're not already doing so. So the solo episode I’ve been mentioning for over a month has finally happened with me playing catch up before all the shows I like to watch start back up. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 111) - Disney Afternoon

Hey hey friends!

Well, we’re another week down with me making slow slow progress towards someday getting a solo episode recorded for y’all. Meanwhile the news continues and my pile of comics to talk about grows. The good news though is my friends are awesome and first among those is (practical co-host recently) Blue. We recorded an episode a bit ago for a week where I really needed something fun for your earholes because I was busy. Well… that definition really fits every week but I don’t want to miss a week so here we go. This episode is Blue and I talking all about The Disney Afternoon which aired from 1990 to 1997. Yes that’s right, we took a nostalgic journey into the wayback machine and geeked out all about some cartoons which made us smile as younger fuzzballs. If you like Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Gargoyles, Aladdin, Quack Pack, or the Mighty Ducks… then this is the episode for you. Enjoy!

Congrats on completing Level 111 and thanks to Blue (@bluewolfd) for saving my tail once again with content for y’all. This honestly was one of my favorite discussions yet.. Feel free to drop a comment here or contact me on Twitter and/or Instagram (@wookieeriot). I'd love to hear from you. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 108) - Shut Up the Sportsballs On!

Wowza fellow fuzzballs!

Every week I plan on finally dropping a new solo episode and it seems I just can't get enough of having friends on the podcast. I guess the Summer of Guests has to be over since it's past Labor Day and noone's allowed to wear white any more but nevertheless, here's another guest episode. In honor of the official NFL season (and Hockey too) starting, I finally had my good friend Arvin over to talk sports. This podcast embraces all geekdoms and two years in it is finally time to talk some sportsball. Sure this might have been me secretly trying to reignite Arvin's passion to renew his own sports podcast but it really was an enjoyable time. Topics included the geek world colliding with sports, Star Wars nights for teams, geeky sports jerseys, Arvin’s sports journey/favorite teams, jersey schedules/collecting, sports superstitions, our memories of playing as kids, a look at the MLB/NFL/NHL, sports video games, and more!

Congrats on completing Level 108! It was really fun to talk about something new and different ans a big thanks to Arvin (@skippertabs) for joining me for another great episode. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 107) - Accio Pottcast!

Well hey there friends, muggles, and wizard lovers!

I originally planned to drop a normal episode this week but then as luck would have it, Ryan finally succumbed to me hounding him on episodes and agreed to return for another Pottcast. Even better, his wonderful wife joined in for a super-sized geeky discussion all about the universe of Harry Potter. I thought this guest episode might drop in a week or two but grad school had other plans. We had a great time and I was armed and ready to talk about all sorts of things re: the Pott(er) they adore. Here's what you can find in this level of the pottcast:

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald trailer
Harry Potter and the Second Amendment
Daniel Radcliffe thoughts
Katrena the Ravenclaw aka Jocasta Nu

As usual, this conversation was a blast and I guarantee it's bound to entertain y'all. We covered 13 shows in no particular order. WIthout further ado, here's our list of seminal children's entertainment from the 80s and 90s.

All good trilogies must come to an end and you find yourself at the last of a three part podcast episode because Danny and I can not be concise when rambling about all the geeky news from San Diego Comic Con 2018. Not a loss though since the full three hours was a ton of fun and hilarity with a friend from your earhole enjoyment. I've started to think of this silliness as The Saga of Danny the Deuce and the Sunrising Knights vs. the Candle Snuffer. This joke certainly is the glue which ties them all together. This final part of the podcast wraps up all of SDCC 2018 news including:

Pooing on the Titans trailer plus news re: the show
Details on the DC Universe streaming service
Batwoman on the DCW in crossover on Arrow plus possible show in 2019
Teaser trailers & News for the DCW Shows: Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Arrow, and The Flash
Lobo to be on Krypton Season 2
Judge Dredd: Mega City One has a pilot script ready to shoot
Man in the High Castle Season 3 trailer
Venom SDCC trailer details
George Takei doing a graphic novel about internment camps
Batman The Animated Series collected Blu-ray in Oct
Matt Groening Disenchantment series on Netflix trailer
The Purge TV series trailer
Thoughts on Black Mirror on Netflix

Congrats on completing the third installment in the Level 102 trilogy. As always, big thanks to Danny for joining me for another fun episode catching us up on geek news. It was a lot of fun as usual. Better yet, rate the episode. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 102 Part Deux) – SDCC 2018 Dropping the Deuce

Hey hey fuzzballs!

So for those of you joining us midway through a three part episode about San Diego Comic Con 2018... Welcome! Danny joined me to talk all about it but in true form, the episode was not only long, it became three hours of geek talk and I had no choice but to break it up for y'all. Thankfully after the last episode of intro worth 50 minutes... we finally got into talking about Meh Con 2018 as we dubbed it. Bonus: We discovered Danny's new antihero name.... The Deuce hence the title. This second part of the podcast has all sorts of SDCC 2018 news including:

Thoughts on the firing of James Gunn from Disney
Tom King’s bodyguard & Heroes in Crisis comic event

Trailer Park: Voltron on Netflix ending with S7
Young Justice Season 3
George R. R. Martin’s Nightflyers
Shazam
Aquaman
Godzilla: King of Monsters
Glass
Iron Fist Season 3 teaser
Disenchantment
Deadly Class
Walking Dead Season 9 (plus our thoughts on Season 8’s last 8 episodes)

Netflix going all in on 5 Millarworld properties
Geoff Johns writing and EP for Stargirl show on DC’s streaming service
Buffy the Vampire reboot
New Star Wars comics, books, and toys
Hash tag Clone Wars saved

Wowza... over an hour of SDCC 2018 talk and we totally weren't done. It all concludes tomorrow with the final part of this trilogy of SDCC. We may have joked about dropping the deuce here but our adamantium claws are fully engaged for some Snikt commentary when we conclude. Stay Tuned!

Congrats on completing the second part of Level 102 of the podcast and a big thanks to Danny for joining me for another fun episode catching us up on geek news. It was a lot of fun as usual. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 102 Part One) – SDCC 2018 Getting sweaty!

Hey hey fuzzballs!

So San Diego Comic Con was this past weekend and while it didn't seem big on excitement or that wow factor, it did result in Danny and me recording about all the things. The result is an episode so big, it turned into three hours of content and resulted in the very first three parter for the podcast. I thought about just going full Joe Rogan and putting up the whole dang thing but instead... it's dropping over three days. It's a great conversation and there's tons of geeky conversation between our crazy selves. This first part is just the intro. It starts with an RIP for King of the Sweaties Jon Schnepp 1967-2018. He was very influential to my podcast journey and will be missed. If you feel inclined... click the following link to help his family pay off his exorbitant hospital bills. RIP Good sir and thank you! The title of this one is my tribute to him.

We then go into tons of geeky things going on in our worlds besides SDCC 2018 news. Here's a short list.

Thoughts on the Dark Knights Metal comic
Hell on Wheels
Cloak and Dagger
The Death of Superman movie
A Wrinkle in Time
Thrawn: Alliances
Castle Rock on Hulu
The Tick
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on Amazon Prime

You'd think it wouldn't take 50 minutes just to get to the SDCC 2018 news but I guess you'd be wrong. Stay tuned for Part Deuce tomorrow where we get into the next hour plus of SDCC 2018 talk.

Congrats on completing the first part of Level 102 of the podcast and a big thanks to Danny for joining me for another fun episode catching us up on geek news. It was a lot of fun as usual. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 100) - Big Hairy American Winning Machines

Wowza... the podcast has made into triple digits! I thought about doing all sorts of different things to commemorate the milestone but realized this show is still what it's always been, fuzzy geeks waxing about life, the universe, and everything but mostly geek stuff. My great friend Blue kept the whole summer of guests going by stopping by for a hangout which included us recording for an hour about whatever we wanted. Topics covered included a Moon Knight TV Show, the Solo box office success in retrospect, an RIP talk for Steve Ditko, Spider-Man, Florida theme parks, excitement about San Diego Comic Con, superheroes in church, Legendary pictures doing a Gundham movie, Billie Dee Williams in Episode 9, even more SDCC talk, the Skyward comic from Image comics movie, and then some TV talk. Just an hour of geek talk between friends marking this show for what it is. A geeky podcast for geeks of all types about whatever comes up. Here’s to one hundred more!

Congrats on completing Level 100 of the podcast and a big thanks to Blue (@bluewolfd) for joining me for another episode. It was a lot of fun as usual. Laugh It Up Fuzzball Bonusode #12 - The Raasclaat Jurassic West World Hour

Hey hey friends!

It's been a while since we had a bonusode of the podcast but here we are. The summer of guest keeps on keeping on and courtesy of Danny and I recording for two and a half hours, we got not only a new episode which drops next week but this hour of nerddom. If you wondered about some recent geek entertainment i.e. Luke Cage Season 2, Westworld Season 2, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, here are Danny and my thought on those gems. Sort of a spoiler but we thought they all were on the upper spectrum of quality and talked for an hour about each one. There are also some spoilers for each  so skip if you haven't seen them. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did recording it.

Congrats on completing another bonusode of the podcast and a big thanks to Coco Notorious aka Danny for helping me get an episode up. Better yet, rate the episode. Wowza... another Tuesday episode and two in a row marking the Summer of Guests? Once again... all credit goes to Danny and Blue. This is the second episode we recorded in one day. With twenty plus MCU movies out and the indomitable Infinity War making all the money, I figured it was time we ranked our personal Top 10s for posterity. It was a fun time and turned into over two hours of discussion re: a ton of movies. I'll list our order from Me to Blue to Danny... but trust me... this one is worth listening to.
