Laugh It Up Fuzzball #127 – This is Dragon Monkey Adulting

Hey hey friends and fellow fuzzballs!

Adulting.jpg

Welcome to the latest level of the podcast. School is starting soon so we’re back to weekend drops for episodes. This one started as a solo episode with all the segments but before I knew it, I rambled for an hour and hadn’t even made it to all the TV and comics I’d read over a six day cold from hell. I figured why not break it up and make sure there’s content for the future. Bonus… it means I can talk more TV and comics on the next go round. Here’s what you can find on this installment of life, the universe, and everything but mostly geek stuff:

Fuzzy Thoughts
Batman Damned #1 and the Bat Pole
Avengers shirts and the Chewbacca Galaxy of Adventures action figure

Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 124) - Danny and the Wheel of Karma

Nothing like the week after Christmas. No school, no plans, and plenty of time to record a fun episode of the geeky podcast about life, the universe, and everything with a good friend. This is just Danny and me talking about whatever we thought was worth chatting about. A good holiday time for your earholes. Bonus: my lovely Heather is giggle backround for the episode and even joins for a quick second. Fair warning… after 55:36 it goes full Danny Spoils Everything… if you skip though… make sure to catch Danny’s thoughts at 1:27. Here’s a short list of the ebb and flow of this conversation:

New BTS video for Galaxy’s Edge showing more of the land and attractions
Danny emotionally mad about Avengers spoilers from me
Sean Penn is not Tim Roth in Hulk
Aquaman aka Wet Thor is already a hit
Stargirl series adds Justice Society characters
Ian Ziering cast as Blue Devil in Swamp Thing show
Punisher drops in January 2019
Mission: Impossible - Fallout cinematographer joins Black Widow movie
Avengers game from Crystal Dynamics is not dead plus Ultimate Alliance 3
Jon Favreau’s IG-88 pic on Instagram
TV chef Jamie Oliver to also be a stormtrooper in Episode IX
Rumor about Padmé in Episode IX
VR experience of Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire
Daredevil Season 3
Initial thoughts on Runaways Season 2
The DCW crossover - Elseworlds
Danny’s RIP for Stan Lee

This was fun and honestly… Danny’s eloquent take on Stan Lee at the end made this so worth it. Also meant Heather and I got to enjoy his company and go see a geeky movie afterwards… stay tuned later for my Bumblebee thoughts in a future something. Congrats on completing Level 124 of the podcast and a big thanks to Danny the Deuce for another amazing recording. Happy Thanksgiving!

On this day where Turkey may or may not be consumed leading to sleepiness all based on contentious history, I find myself thankful for many things. Among these is all the amazing listeners for this podcast. In honor of you, of whom I am thankful, I decided it was time we had a week with an episode up earlier than the weekend. Even better… a bonusode! I had the pleasure of recording all about the newest movie form the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with my roommates and here’s our conversation for anyone interested. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 118) - The Magnificent Maestro of Marvel... RIP Stan Lee

Well hey hey friends.

Happy Monday! As usual there is a lot going on in the geek sphere but the biggest headline of the week was of course the passing of Stan Lee at age 95. Lots of people more important than me have said all the things but I did not feel like a podcast like this about life, the universe, and everything but mostly geek stuff could not talk about this comics legend. This is Blue Lightning, Darth John and me talking all about the man, the myth, the legend… Stan Lee. RIP good sir.

Congrats on completing Level 118 of the podcast and a big thanks to Blue (@bluewolfd) and Darth John for joining me to pay tribute to the magnificent maestro of Marvel. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 114) - Return of the CBM Defenders vs. Double Venom

Woo! An episode up on a Wednesday. So sometimes you find yourself with free time after work that doesn’t have to include schoolwork and what do you do? Go see a comic book movie you think will be bad with a friend and then talk all about it. Bonus: It meant the return of the CBM Defenders after a 30 episode hiatus. Blue and I chat all about (and also spoil the heck out of) two “superhero” movies, quotes because this edition is all Venom. For the newest movie still in theaters, we did do a non-spoiler review before chatting about all the details. You may find these films to be less than good but we’re always prepared to shine our bright lanterny light all over them while talking the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here’s the two films we defend:

Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Venom (2018)

Congrats on completing Level 114 of the podcast and a big thanks to Blue (@bluewolfd) for yet another fun episode. We may not be Venom at the end of it but WE ARE AWKWARD (said in my best gruff Tom Hardy voice). Feel free to drop a comment here or contact me on Twitter and/or Instagram (@wookieeriot). I'd love to hear from you. Also subscribe to the feed on Apple Podcasts, GooglePlay, Stitcher, tunein.com, PlayerFM or Podcast Addict (or whatever app you use) if you're not already doing so. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 111) - Disney Afternoon

Hey hey friends!

Well, we’re another week down with me making slow slow progress towards someday getting a solo episode recorded for y’all. Meanwhile the news continues and my pile of comics to talk about grows. The good news though is my friends are awesome and first among those is (practical co-host recently) Blue. We recorded an episode a bit ago for a week where I really needed something fun for your earholes because I was busy. Well… that definition really fits every week but I don’t want to miss a week so here we go. This episode is Blue and I talking all about The Disney Afternoon which aired from 1990 to 1997. Yes that’s right, we took a nostalgic journey into the wayback machine and geeked out all about some cartoons which made us smile as younger fuzzballs. If you like Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Gargoyles, Aladdin, Quack Pack, or the Mighty Ducks… then this is the episode for you. Enjoy!

Congrats on completing Level 111 and thanks to Blue (@bluewolfd) for saving my tail once again with content for y’all. This honestly was one of my favorite discussions yet.. Feel free to drop a comment here or contact me on Twitter and/or Instagram (@wookieeriot). I'd love to hear from you. Laugh It Up Fuzzballs (Ep. 110) - Blue-y Chewie and the News

New Flash citizens of the podcast… Grad school sucks! What doesn’t suck is having friends willing to record with you during your scant free time to keep your silly little podcast going while your brain melts from history theory and animal studies. Enough feeling bad for me though. This week Blue and Justin helped me catch up on a ton of geeky news I hadn’t officially talked about yet.
